"Any good remedies out there to prevent these little buggers appearing, no sooner I get rid of one a few weeks go by then another one develops " wear lip balm in cold weather, avoid stress, lots of garlic in your diet. |

Zorvirax really does work to keep them from coming out or at least clears them up quickly if they do appear, its quite expensive but you only use a tiny bit, I've tried so many various remedies over the years and have to say its definitely the best. I tend to get them when I am tired and run down, or ill. |

I agree with Zoe build your immune system up with some vitamins and like Femme says try not to get stressed although easier said than done sometimes
You still have the virus hanging around so they will keep breaking out |

"thanks everyone for some very sound advice, trip to boots on the way home then.
"
Have not read all the threads so maybe repeating something, anyway my x wife suffered badly with them and apart from the direct medications she was told to enhance her immune system...vitamin supplements etc, you find you suffer more when you are run down...yes? |

deffo zovirax, usually get one after the flu or a cold and if I've been out in a lot of sun, you can also get little clear sticker things to go over them, they work too and act as a barrier xxx |

Zovirax at the first tingle which should keep it from forming but if one does........
Take a needle and burst the blisters, use tissue to squeeze all the "liquid" out of the blisters
Zovirax........then
Take a needle and burst the blisters, use tissue to squeeze all the "liquid" out of the blisters
Zovirax........little and often and keep pricking the blisters and draining them, it will sting a bit but will not swell up and will heal quickly
