So if this is on your profile…. Is your face pic also? - so people can decide if they want to message you - no point messaging you if you look like you were dragged from a chemical spill

I think the driver for me is if you’re insisting on seeing someones face pic before you will engage with them then fairs fair - have yours on display - just a bit double standards to me - ive been seeing so many profiles with it on now - it just comes across as a bit arrogant - good enough if you are chatting with someone then you swap if there’s interest… but to dictate as a condition…
As always I guess fab is for how everyone wants to use it. |

Yes, hopefully…of course what we read in to what people put on their profiles about themselves isn’t necessarily correct. We all just use our judgements and intuitions as best we can and take it from there!  |

This isn't on my profile and I wouldn't put it there, but my opinion is, expecting someone to send a face picture privately does not mean you have to have a public picture. It means you need to be prepared to share it privately. |

I try to keep my face a secret for as long as possible. I look like a mouldy sack of spuds covered in candle wax..
And it's got me blocked a few times!
So my approach is a social with a sack over my head, Elephant man style. It's a look I'm trying to make stylish again |

If I'm interested enough I'll send it, if I'm not I won't.
If you don't like it then it's a useful filter.
I want to see faces fairly quickly however I wouldn't demand one in a first message.

I'm sure I've something about a photo though not the no reply part. I'd have to actually read my own profile to remind myself. I just take it as people not wanting to waste time and willing to share privately. |

It's easy to use tippex to fake an Adidas sack.
Buy a plain sack from your local sackists, and go mad with tippex, glue, and glitter! |

We prefer a face picture in the first message or the second at a push.
Having been told “you won’t be disappointed” then finally receiving a photo after a lot of back and forth, we were indeed disappointed and it was awkward after that.
Get it out of the way early and we’re more likely to reciprocate even if it’s a “no thanks but here’s us if you ever spot us at a club”
We do have face pics on our profile from time to time too. |

We don't have face pics available for public viewing. Mainly because of work and other activities we engage in.
Wouldn't want someone who lives locally seeing me and thinking that they can talk to me about sexual activities in a public place.
Happy to share pics when we have a chat.

I agree with this. Blank profiles that say that as well as people who ask to see a face pic without including one in theor message just comes across as conceited and entitled in my opinion.
Privacy is one thing but demanding others forfeit theirs while not doing the same is hypocritical.
Also, just a bit lazy maybe? |

Expecting pics is fine for when you're doing your online shopping. You don't want to play lucky-dip if you're buying a kettle but we aren't a kettle, we have personalities and so do you.

We got a first message today and it asked for face pics. Not on you life .
We’ve had face pics copied and shared so due to work and general privacy we don’t share face pics now. We just meet quite quickly for a social. Face to face you can’t fake it and you’re better to know the person not the photo. |

My profile does state this and the reason for this is for the fact so far on here my ex sister in law’s husband has message me they are still married, my friends partners have message me, my brothers mates have message me, so since it’s seems there is a lot of people on here that I know I would rather see a face pic first before I start a conversation to rule that out.
If people don’t want to send a face pic then that is their choice not to message me.
My face pics are on my account but just not on public display. |

We have face pictures in private if we mail someone we automatically send an accompanying face picture.
If they mail us we state we won't reply if we can't see them.And if we do decide we are compatible we then commence chatting & letting them see us before a meetup is arranged.  |

There is one person on here that has 3 profiles and told me so. He revealed the second one to me and I had answered him and had no idea it was him and he didn't reveal himself in messages either. He won't tell me the third profile so now I won't answer anyone that could be him.

The topic is about 'no pic - no chat/reply' especially on profiles that have none of their own first. Not about sharing pics after finding their conversation engaging and enjoyable. To explicitly disregard everyone who is not 'instagram-able' purely based on window shopping..... super super shallow and you absolutely miss out on some amazing people. |

If I'm asked I'll send one but hate having my picture taken so always state that.
If a profile says "send face pic" and they have a blank profile I just move along.

we dont mind chatting, but it will only ever stay chatting about general chit chat without a face picture. if your interested what have you got to hide. on the flip side if were interested we'll send a face picture with first message.
i think as a general rule of thumb it tends to be whoever initiated the conversation breaks the ice sending the first face picture. after all there the party showing interest and trying to advertise themselves to get a meet etc. |

We express in our profile (at the end of you care to look) how we choose to share face pics, it's not immediately or through this site, as we want to avoid the fab stamp.
As a result we're likely to pass a profile by if they want one from the off.
It's a shame but we stumble at the starting blocks here.
We've not yet been turned down after a face pic swap. |
