Wirral

Packs of pet dogs playing out all day. Everyone on our estate used to kick the dogs out at 8am and let them back in at 6pm like that was a completely normal thing to do.

My mum sending me, a six year old child, round to the corner shop for a quarter bottle of Bacardi and ten superkings, and the shop serving me with no questions. On a related note, prams outside pubs.

The grinding, screaming noise of the dredgers going up and down the river all night. I don't know if technology has improved or they just don't dredge any more, but I never hear it now.

Packets of bread sauce older than I was, because they came with the Christmas hamper my mum saved all year to get, but nobody ever used it so it just sat in the cupboard. There were always a couple in the harvest festival donations too.
