Tell you i once meet a man just on his good looks male model doing loads of work things in uk and over seas ... and when we had sex it was in the mirrors looking at him self saying ooo don't i look fab mmmmmmm lol Was a bit of a let down tell the truth . So i did learn a lesson dont just go on looks , lol make sure you chat see if theres a nice person in there too. |

Do you look in the mirror and think 'There goes someone of average looks'?? Or do you perhaps you have more of a positive mental image of yourself?
I mean, is not just men on here that put that sort of thing on their profile? Hell there are people labeling themselves as 'Fabs finest this and that' all over their profiles - what does that say about their ego's and sense of self-image?
There are alot of womens / couples profiles that I could interpret as firmly 'up their own arse' - but in an environment where positive advertising is king, why shouldn't someone put they are attractive?
After all, beauty is in the eye of the beholder, is it not? |

I think my opinion is irrelevant when I look in the mirror to how how I would describe myself on here or any other site.

No it's not just men, but In comparison there are fewer women who describe themselves as "good looking" "gorgeous" "stunning"

I haven't put good looking on my profile, for the pure fact I think I'm just average, not good not bad.....just that, average.....there are some very good looking people here tho, I have to say, but dribbling isn't a good look, so I'll keep who I'm on about to myself lol  |

I don't think it's wrong to give an accurate description of how one looks, and I guess on that basis I should update my profile accordingly.

In a pastime which is predominantly based upon attracting a 'mate' using (on the most part) photographs and physical description - for what is the pursuit of a (for the most part) a purely physical act, why would anyone automatically give themselves a disadvantage by describing themselves in anything other than a positive light?
Some guy putting on his profile "average looks, average conversationalist, have a little dick (its pathetic) and I don't get laid much' is really going to only attract those for whom the thought of having a fun evening with Eeyore gets them moist!
