Do you think there will ever make it that if you have blocked someone you can't see their posts and vice versa on forum as is in Chat? That would be very useful in my humble opinion but perhaps it has been considered as inappropriate for some reason and that's why they haven't done it before. |

Or if they could do something similar to discord, where messages in public channels from blocked users just show as “1 blocked message” and you choose whether to see it or not  |

I can see what you are all saying. Perhaps a seperate button to just block one or two on that particular thread and nothing to do with your block list. Probably not possible anyway but would be good as some are from time to time rather determined to spoil it for the many. Thanks for your replies. It was just a thought but I accept rather impractical  |

My understanding is from forums u are not supposed to reply to someone who has blocked u as seen to be getting round the block? So the very few I've blocked I don't respond to on forums? Maybe I'm wrong? But yes good idea to not see them x |

A different way of putting it, but more so in thread's people will just avoid conversing with people they don't get on with for one reason or other. |

You can reply to whoever you like as long as you're not asking them to unblock you.
Besides, you'd need to click on their profile first to know if you were blocked |

On a forum you don’t necessarily know someone has blocked you if you have never interacted with them. The first you know is when you think oh I like that comment - who are they and discover you’re blocked. So not replying to someone in those circumstances would be a nightmare. I think ignore is a better way than block - you just put someone on ignore and their messages to you just go in the bin automatically. Then if they harass you in the forums the current system kicks in |
