They don't ID me (shock....I know, right  ) but they do question if I'm buying booze for my daughter when we go through the checkout.

The usual rule of thumb for 'socially acceptable' is half the older age +7. eg a 40-year-old dating someone under 27 would be considered unacceptable.
In terms of just fucking.
Personally, if the younger person is in their 20s, they're a grown-up and with the world being full of kinks I'm not going to yuck someone's yum.

I have no problems with age gaps or what anyone gets up to in their consensual private lives. Since the whole Schofield affair I've had to listen to so much judgmental crap from people. I'm 50 and a date/fuck much younger men. So tired of people trying to shame me for that. The assumption is always that the older is trying to exploit the younger person. Even tho on Fab a high percentage of males under 30 are actively seeking older women.
I enjoy my time with hot young lads and hope it continues as I get older. |

Never subscribed to that notion myself.
Particularly given that example gives a 13 year age gap as being the max, but the same formula means a 60 year old would be fine with a 37 year old, giving a 23 year gap. The simple maths just means the older one gets the younger they can hook up with someone.
40 - 27
50 - 32
60 - 37
70 - 42
80 - 47
90 - 52
It's a pretty weird system for 'social acceptability' when one half can age twice as fast as the other.....

It would feel inappropriate for me with anyone in their twenties and lower.
I don't have kids ,but still they'd be young enough that I could be their parents age.
I guess it will vary for people ,with what feels comfortable.

I think you have to gauge that on a person by person basis. At 42, I look at women under 25 and think noooooooo. I really could be their dad at that age, plus there’s be such a gap in interests and maturity I wouldn’t be interested. So for me, there’s a lower limit for sure. Going upwards in age though, I wouldn’t discount anyone as long as there was a spark. That said, a 69 year old may look at my and discount me for the same reasons as I would a younger lady. |

I don't think there is a point in age difference as long as everyone is comfortable and happy.
When I was 22 I was regularly having sex with a 44 year old lady and we both loved it.
I'm now 59 and have recently had a 22 year old guy visit me and fuck me. We both enjoyed it. |

I was just curious as to what others thought. For me it doesn't really bother me so much what others get up too. I personally wouldn't want to be with anyone in the 18 to 25 year age bracket but thats just because I have kids/young adults that are coming to and from my house all the time and find they aren't that mature. That being said I've been with someone who was 20 years older than me. |

I think that's a bit of an odd rule of thumb, it all depends on the individuals, maturity and consent (and ability to give it). There were 20yrs between my parents, no-one was a victim or coerced. |
