Do you collect loalty points for certain shops and if so, do you spend them as soon as something becomes free or do you save them for something bigger?

I'm a hoarder. I currently have enough points for a 12 box Krispy Kreme selection but don't want to spend them because then I'd have to start over again

I’m a saver .. keep all the points from Supermarkets etc and use them to partly offset the Christmas shop.

And I get money back points on my credit card, which I only use to get the cash back, and clear monthly so no interest charges.

The only shop I do this with is Waterstones. I save them, just in case some day something really bad might happen and I don’t have enough money for new books.

Yes, I do get some points and vouchers but sometimes I forget to use them and lose them which annoys me. I wasted £40 of vouchers last month as I forgot to use them by the expiry date. I must really do better

I always thought supermarket cards were never worth it as the savings would be minimal. A nectar card for petrol might be be a good idea though!

Lots of other places give you loyalty points like the costa app gives you beans for example (to avoid any confusion these are coffee beans, not Joebeans - sorry Joe). I have a few free coffees on the card already and might have a coffee meet or ywo with friends. My favourite cake shop gives you the 8th cake free I think and the hairdesser does a 50% discount on your 6th haircut. Why not, if you can get it when you only buy what you need and tha's just a little bonus, go for it.

I tend to accumulate Nectar points from Sainsbury's, which I redeem at Argos, which is always useful.

I use my "Caffé Nero" app to collect reward points which I use for free beverages and drinks.

Nothing else other than that.

I have a boots advantage card and a nectar card,

And I have a loyalty point thing in my local saddlers.

I usually use my accumulated points at Xmas,

I usually spend my nectar points in Argos,

The boots points go on a gift set for the person I forgot to buy a present for, and my points in the saddlers usually go on something for the kids

Like others, I save all my Nectar points up through the year and use them all up at Christmas. I'll collect free coffees from lots of places, but normally forget to have the little stamp card for the small independent places that don't have apps so start a new one each time...

I would be disloyal but when it come to certain things that I buy only one company does it at the price that I want it for. it's a monopoly so either way I'm going to buy it from them. I'd actually have to go out of my way/use more/time/money/energy/effort to be disloyal at this rate.

Capitalism does us wrapped up in more ways that one. I would love to support my little small independent butcher...but the butcher is 2 hours commute away and the supermarket is 20 mins. Time is money unless I was already going that way.

Manchester-ish

Most of the points I save are from work expenses.

I collect hotel points/free nights from work trips which add up and allow us to have the odd night away here and there.

Costa beans on my motorway coffee.

Nandos points if I decide to eat there.

Tesco points filling up the car and when I get a meal deal for my lunch.

I use them when I take J out. She doesn't realise how lucky she is.

The one thing I miss about the corporate lifestyle - all that free shit. Self employment doesn't have the same perks.

And I particularly miss all the paid for hotel rooms I used to use for meets when on my travels.
