What comics / magazines did you read as a kiddie?

Me? The Beano was a staple for many years, from time time I also used to get Nutty (home of the original Bananaman!), The Dandy, and boys more “serious” comics like Champ and Buddy.

I was definitely a DC Thompson comic kind of kid. Not so keen on the likes of Whizzer and Chips etc

I’d also read my brothers 2000AD and Star Wars weekly and learnt LOADS about girls and sex and periods and stuff (far more than I ever did at school!) from stealthily reading through my Sisters Jackie magazines.

What about you, Fabsters?

I read the Beano, a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comic because I wanted to copy the pictures out of it, but my real absolute love was Judge Dredd. I’ve kept a load of them for my son when he’s old enough

I got into Viz when I first headed to Uni back in the day as an 18 year old. Used to get them from HMV, couldn’t get them in newsagents then. The old style ones before the days of glossy covers etc.

All over

The usual people mention but also asterix was one of my favourite and another one with great stories of cowboys and indians but can't remember the name of it.
