I went back in the early 80s, if that counts.
It’s never been the same since they took out the monorail and cable cars, those were the days.

As a kid went to many Butlin’s camps most of which sadly do not exist anymore.
I have been to Minehead a few times but it was with my ex and we always had the kids so never had any action there.
The monorail and cable cars had gone by the time I visited. However I do have found memories of the cable cars at other camps. Think Skegness was the only other one with a monorail, I did do on one as I remember it had JPS livery. |
