Morning all, I hope everyone had great weekends.
Any one else think it would be great if there was a filter to exclude people who are looking for something that you aren’t ?(much like the age one that won’t show you results for people who are looking for people outside of your age range). I see a lot of results in my search’s from women who are specifically looking for black guys, or people looking for women or couples. I’m neither black or a woman / couple so no real point in me even seeing them in the search results. If anything all that might encourage is people sending and getting messages that they aren’t looking for and wasting everyone’s time ?
I personally think it would be a lot better experience just to see the results of people for whom you are more likely to be a match rather than all the ones that are pointless ? |

I’m no developer so this is literally guess work but surely it can’t be that hard to add parameters, I can search based on likes and ethnicity, so why can’t I see results based on what someone else has specified as their likes / looking for criteria ? |

"The biggest filter anyone could use is their eyes. If more people read profiles, finding a match would be easier and there would be less disappointment."
This. Profiles say what people are looking for. Reading them helps. |

Oh I completely get that and if I see in their title that they are looking for something I am not then I don’t bother even opening the profile, just think it’s a waste of time them even appearing in my search results.
I read all of the profile before even contemplating sending a message which means 99 times out 100 I know I am not what they looking for so don’t bother messaging. One thing that surprises me is the amount of women who are very passionate about not liking facial hair , I have a beard so if they say they don’t like any facial hair then it’s a “back to the results and keep searching “ for me. |

It's the hard work some can't be bothered to do even though the bio is their for a reason... plus you'd miss out on most of the perving on pictures |

Not arguing that point at all and totally agree, but why sift through 50 peoples profiles if they could eliminate 30 of them by simply adding something that removes them from the list as you aren’t what they are looking for ?
Obviously as guy it isn’t so common but I bet women must be absolutely inundated with messages from guys who are clearly not what they have said they are looking for but still want to chance it, must be very annoying and adding a filter like this would potentially pretty much stop that completely |
