if your looking for a good walk near grassmere (easyish ) good walks round lake grassmere and rydal water can both be done in a morning or afternoon ..look up rydal caves, can walk right in . |

Don't park like a dickhead
Don't walk in the middle of the road.
Don't get road rage when there's a tractor on the road or when there's livestock in the road. Be careful around all the country roads, especially if you're going to Buttermere because the sheep are a law to themselves

If you’re in grasmere there is a youth hostel for somewhere cheap.
If you want a nice little walk I’d go up easedale tarn. Pass sour milk ghyll on the way. Lovely view from the tarn at the top and nice to dip your feet in.
If you want go further to calf crag, round to helm crag and back down.
Flat walk do the coffin trail grasmere, rydal to Ambleside.
Ties for canny food and a pint. |
