The French are rioting all over the country and over 1000 arrests so far after the gendarms opened fire on citizen during a traffic stop. Talk of Prime Minister Macron calling in a State of Emergency. Now Tom is no fan of the french but is it time to send in the army. What's going on here guys. It's all over the news.

I'm not sure how this rioting benefits anyone, I understand that people are angry, but they are damaging the property of other private individuals and small businesses who are in no was responsible for what happened.

Personally, I think that police having guns drawn for a traffic stop is ridiculous. When guns are the starting point, any escalation is obviously only going result in violence. However... when you've been stopped by the police and have a gun pointed at you, "trying" to speed off is incredibly stupid and would obviously result in making things worse. Ultimately the young driver IS largely responsible for what happened, but it wouldn't happen if the gun wasn't drawn to start with.

Mr Po Po was taken into custody after the shooting.

Not sure that’s then an excuse to go on a shopping trip and set your own communities on fire.

Rioting as a protest about a teenage boy being killed is hardly excusable but in a sense understandable

Looting however is another matter, it is never acceptable to steal someone else's property in any situation.

Theft is wrong and inexcusable

So you just said he had no reason to kill him. Refusing to comply with an instruction is not grounds for summary execution.

They don't have guns drawn.Only when something suspicious happens or the suspect refuses to co-operate do they draw,(That is their training procedure, the suspect has escalated, they escalate)why is a suspect not complying?what do they have in the car?If they stand around nicely nicely and the suspect pulls a gun and starts shooting they get criticised. Many cops have been shot by trying to be softly softly. Now as in the US police officers will be thinking "will I get prosecuted for my actions"?,instead of concentrating fully on the developing situation.

I said the boy did not deserve to die.I did not say there was not reason to kill him.The officer probably had reason to shoot,a sudden movement which may have looked as though the boy was reaching for a weapon for example. It was not an execution,a shot through the temple would have been 100% effective.A shot to the body is 50/50.I suspect the officer tried to shoot him in the top of the leg to incapacitate but the boy or car lurched forward resulting in a downward chest shot, which will do more damage than a horizontal facing shot which has more chance of missing vital organs or causing catastrophic damage.

There are no European police or Troops, only Police and Troops of their own country. To invite foreign forces in is an admission you have lost control and sets a very dangerous precedent.English police invited for example to a football match in France are there in an advisory capacity with no judicial powers.English Police were invited to the Cypriot towns of Ayia Napa and Paphos to help Cypriot Police deal with pissed English tourists, they had no power of arrest or detention.English troops on French soil are English troops on French soil. The French foreign legion are foreigners, where they operate they are not French troops.France can factually and lawfully claim no involvement, that's why France has them.Similarly the Wagner group are not Russian. There is no Russian involvement in Africa, only Wagner troops carrying out Kremlin operations.

Just my opinion but if they call for the army to step in or go to full martial law I think it will just make things a lot worse. The riots started because of police opening fire on a civilian after they’d allegedly beat him in the face with the butt of their rifles, if the police or the army were to open fire again then the people will have no faith in either the police or armed forces

Also joyriding at about 8am, when people are walking to work or kids are going to school- but thats handily glossed over as usual by some, such as the scrotes that see it as nothing more than an excuse to wreck other people property they've grafted for or helping themselves to some new stuff.

I can remember the various riots here about 10 to 12 years ago- funny how it was pretty much electrical stores and sports shops targeted by the protestors outrage

From doing some reading, it looks like the deceased was driving a car that wasnt his and had no drivers licence. He doesnt deserve to die for that but if true indicates that the traffic stop was valid.

Chosing not to comply and attempting to drive off (if that is what happened) will bring with it the risk of shots fired.

Police+gun+death does not automatically = murder

Having said all this, I am no more in posession of the full facts than anyone else on here. I am jumping to no conclusions
