I’d like to think I am, but I’m sure there’s times I’m not, I think I can often impose my view point, ironically though this seems to be on matters that I believe are trivial.
I’ve been on holiday recently and I was amazed how inconsiderate people become on holiday. Smoking was the biggest thing, I found because smoking was allowed outside people would smoke anywhere with no thought to those next to them. Three guys were sat at the pool bar smoking away showing no thought whatsoever to those that don’t smoke.
I’m not particularly whinging just highlighting how people may not actually realise when they are being inconsiderate.
Let’s face it, here’s me spouting about people smoking at the pool bar when so many people can only dream of going on holiday and sitting at a pool bar, whether people are smoking or not. |

I'm definitely considerate, too much sometimes I put people's considerations before my own, but there's other times I'm not the smoking at a bar as you'd said about if it was allowed I'd do it too.
I'd probably eat a burger next to a vegan without a second thought.
Some things we just do without thought, I wouldn't say we are any less considerate though I wouldn't know a non smoker from a smoker unless cig in hand or that wore a badge saying I don't like it.

I feel like it's a balance between having consideration for others while also making sure I'm thinking of myself too.
Often I've ignored what I want to pander to others. I'm trying not to do that as much anymore, or making sure I do put myself first when it's important.

Good point about the not knowing others circumstances. |

Sadly many are not considerate to others these days. There seem to be an attitude that me and my family can do what we like whether as neighbours or people on holiday, bars cafes, shops and restaurants to name a few. You can never enjoy any of those places anymore unless you plan meticulously to avoid those kind of people who feel entitled to do as they feel like even if it ruins the experience for others. It is what it is, I am afraid. |
