I live on this stuff!! I buy the mini lunchbox ones - original and apple flavours.
Can’t beat a whopping great thick doorstep slice with lashings of butter.
And it must be good for me because my mum used to let me have it and she was a health freak. |

"Yesss. My dad slices the loaf lengthways, butters the whole thing and puts it back together like a sandwich"
This is a fucking spectacular idea!! How have I not thought of this before?! Bravo, daddy-pops!
Reminds me of when Jamie Oliver did steak sarnies and sliced the bread lengthways. Genius. |

'Er Indoors loves Soreen (and unbranded rip-offs) but would never have it toasted, being adamant that it should NEVER grace the heat of a toaster.
This was before she tried it the way I have it: you toast the Soreen, then you let it cool down. Once lukewarm, it gains a lovely, chewy texture whilst leaving the butter on the top without it melting in.
It must have killed her to admit she really enjoyed it! |

You really shouldn’t get children to write on toasters….
It's not easy when you only have a friends mascara available "
Haha! I hope she rolled her eyes when you explained why you needed it!! |

Oh yes, a few hours before a heavy gym session!
Miss lunch, pop a quarter length of Soreen, give yourself half an hour to start its magic, then a good 90 minutes constant work, keep taking on some water
Brilliant |

Live on it. Have a lunchbox one as a quick breakfast fix and that's me until lunch.
Used to get a regular size one, squash it flat between my hands (the wrapping gives a very satisfying pop) then eat it like a sarnie. Cutting it up and adding butter felt very posh after that |

Have been a Soreen fan for more years than I can remember and always had it toasted, usually under the grill not in the toaster.
I have made a number of attempts at making my own Malt loaves with not much success so will continue down the Soreen route.
Has to be Butter on it not any of the fancy spreads to get the best out of each slice. |

Used to love it as a kid until one morning I pinched one out of the pantry at home and ate the whole thing out of the packet as I walked to school. I felt very ill for the rest of the day and can't face it now |

Quite like the different varieties over the original.
However there used to be (not sure if still is as not been back there in 10+ years) Veda Bread in Norn Iron which was sort of like Soreen but without the fruit....
