Why do people have to make things so difficult.
Work related. I'm having to arrange and rearrange some additional working hours for people due to an unfortunate need of cover due to illness of a staff member that will be ongoing for a while.
The evening team wants the work done of an evening, but the member of staff wanting the hours doesn't want to do evening as it would mean her coming back after her standard shift. The work can technically be done at any time, as in the past she has covered briefly as a continuation of her hours of a morning.
Why!? Why can't people just make my life easier so I don't have to bust my brain and then piss of somebody regardless.
Fuck people! I just needed to rant |

The easy bit of being a boss is the work element. The hard bit is the people management. Whatever you do someone isn’t happy! My empathies, let out a scream, and keep smiling |

I feel you.
I used to have to deal with 60 odd sites from Lands End to Heathrow, up to Worcestershire and all of South Wales.
Finding people to cover eachother for holidays was bad enough let alone last minute sickness.
Luckily for me I now only have to worry about 1 person and he never goes off sick, hasn't had a holiday in 8 years and does everything I tell him to regardless of the hour or day of the week.
Ah.......
The joys of self employment and not a single employee to fuck me off.
I do look stupid ranting and raving in staff meetings though.

Some people just are difficult. I'm just out of a meeting that lasted 2 hours. That was 30 mins of business and 90 of disruptive mindless idiocy.
I find it hard to keep my cool.
They obstructive the achievable and complain about the impossible. |

I’d the job can be done anytime and someone is willing to cover, simple the job is covered.
As a manager/boss you are there to make sure the job gets done as per process.
As I always say when I face a similar issue, “I am not here to make friends”.
I have also said to colleagues when asked to go out after work “I have to work with you, I don’t have to socialise with you”.
But that’s just my sarcastic personality coming out. |

Can be done, not idealy be done plus it's own additional complications thrown in. |

Ideally anyone who manages others needs to not care about being liked |

You have to take the best option, if there is no other way.
If there is a better option then take that, if not you have to go with what’s left.
We all have work (well most) no one makes us go, it’s not prison so if they don’t like it they no where the door is.
Yes we all want to make the best of it, but at the end of they day if you have a task to do, you have to find the best way possible of doing it. |

This is why AI Robots will be better than fellow humans.
To AI Robot : "Do that thing."
AI Robot : "Affirmative."
So long as the AI Robot working at supersonic speed doesn't ask 5 mins later, "Now what?". Can't be doing with that shit ! |
