Inspired by the other threads about names,
Have you changed, or would you change your name to your spouse’s as part of a marriage?
Two sisters I know married (not each other) and took their husbands’ names as their middle names and kept their family names.
Also I know a man who took his wife’s name as his middle name.
Is this a thing? |

"I took my husband's name. Our eldest was born before we married, I wanted us all to have the same name
Em x"
This is one of the reasons I changed my surname when we got married too. I like that we all share the same name and can be identified as a family unit. |

"My fiancé is taking my name when we get married.
Mine is quite a unique name and means a lot to me, and his is quite a common one so he doesn’t mind!"
But will he keep his name too?
So he will be mr Ordinary Unique? |
