It only depends on your personal risks which we cannot weigh on.. It could be quite as risky sharing it via PM after all but you limit the audience somewhat.

Your profile is very tasteful and it does suit for face pics. It’s not much different from some profiles I’ve seen on dating apps. |

"Well I don't want to be approached in public, I already get people asking if I was on the school run, in the pub or walking the dog, men can be really creepy."
THIS
I have 0 risk of being outed, my friends and family all know whet I'm like , no risk to my job but I don't really like showing my face on here |

Men pass pics round the pub or show their friends. Or post them on porn sites.
Assuming otherwise is quite naïve. |

I think the risks are sometimes exaggerated, not on purpose but because some always assume the worst.
The professional argument seems an example of this. Unless you say you Wark as this and work in a articular place, what's the chance that this can be used against you. If its that dangerous then any potential meet could be career suicide because those you meet could take a sneeky pic. But yet again it would be useless unless you told them your work history and current career choices.
Maybe I am totally wrong, I am lots of the time haha, Mrs xxx |

Not a chance unless I’m 1000% positive the other person is genuine. I’ve been in a Telegram group were active members within the forum have boastfully shared DM’s with face pics whilst claiming to be discrete and genuine. |

Society is still behind on accepting sexually liberated women.
It's such a different situation to a single guy being here.
More so if the woman is also in a relationship.
That's my viewpoint.
We have personal reasons on why we choose to be very careful of showing our faces, if the wrong person/people got to find out, it could cause a whole lot of unnecessary trouble.
We're not all here for the same reasons, not at all.
It could easily be a friend of a friend (so do speak) that recognises another, and with a lot less to lose, happy to show others whether or not they realise the issues they can create. |

This! I very very rarely send my face and definitely not to people on the forum. Never ever done face pic Friday. I’ve met loads of people at socials but I don’t send anything. |

I must admit I show my face on my profile and have done so for over 10 years.
I am on no other social media sites at all.
I have been retired for 13 years so no issues with being outed to employers or work colleagues, and at the ripe old age of 83 would doubt if my photo is of interest to anyone judging by the small mumber of profile views I get. |

We have a teacher friend who was on here. Only had a clothed shot that showed his face nothing even remotely adult related. The profile was only for him to stay in contact with people he met at events and clubs. The mother of one of his students saw him on here and caused huge problems with him getting any employment in the area.
The mum in question is still on the site and has plenty of adult content and very explicit verifications. Her having the pics/vids/verification content and profile is exactly in line with the site and she has every right to have them public and all the more power to her. It's just was a major kick in the guts about what she did to her child's teacher because he chose to have the experiences he did. |

You've said this a few times before and I've always agreed with you because it's not a myth. Too many women have left groups like this because of what goes on while at the same time the degree of networking without consent where faces and names are shared even as recommendations is beyond a joke.
To answer the op, until personal information is no longer used as currency on here it will always carry a risk having facepics. |

Unless all the people around you already know or you are fine with knowing, do not show face picture in public.
Always assume that any photo that is accessible to public will one day be accessible to the whole world. |

It's not a risk to me as I live alone, and my family don't know, but I'm sure it can effect others in many ways, not to show their faces, but to show their bodies instead is a nice bonus just put your imagination to work |

The big danger with showing a face pic is someone can screenshot it and use it for their own needs and you haven't a clue where it's gone or ends up or what site it's on . |

banking apps have (maybe not all) have ability to blur any screenshots. The danger imo in a face pic is the fab swingers logo. If that is removed then its just a face pic |

On that point couldn't any of us steal a photo from social media. That's a separate issue.
What about a means of fab admin verifying photos but leaving logo free version for sending.
Or if fab sent your photos via a separate channel, like signal. |

Some employers or assessors may look unfavorably at fab usage.
There's also the chance of some user causing trouble for you, potentially sharing your details with others. I think it reasonable for people to share selectively with those who they have some trust together.
Members can share pics and have them withdrawn after viewing, which can reduce some potential for them to persist for longer periods.
It's a personal thing really. |

You can take all of the precautions you like and quite rightly too. What you can't do is stop your doppelgänger from publish his or her face pics on here, causing some people to wrongly assume it's you.
Maybe "Have you got a Look alike on FAB" should be a forum thread. |

I work in quite a high security job so posting face pictures (even friends only ones) are extremely risky as I can't risk anybody discovering my identity on here. The site could suffer a cyber attack and then everybody's images would then be out in the open for the entire world to see. I usually send mine through an external app when one is requested. |

Yep for some it may have an impact on their jobs, depending on the contract.
Also I've sen so many threads where people have been approached by other members whilst out in the real world.some sadly lack discretion.
It's not a risk I'd take,I wouldn't want the people I work with to know. |

Except we aren't all here for the same reasons. If someone chooses to show their face here that doesn't give them a right to feel everyone should do likewise and share their info.
It's not just a matter of outing themselves or anyone else on social media.
It's outing them to other fabbers in a casual manner by saying " I met this person and they were a great fuck. This is what they look like aren't they hot? Their name is..... And you should get in touch with them"
Meanwhile that person gets a message from someone they've never spoken to before using their real name and acting familiar to say they've been recommended by another fabber. |

A photo sent by an external app is just a face pic, doesn't have the fabswingers logo on it.

As a single woman, I'd not have public face pics because unfortunately there are some, hopefully few, who think by virtue of being on this site, a woman is 'up for it' and 'fair game'.
I'd rather avoid that potential risk no matter how small it may be. |

It’s a risk and what the risk is probably depends on a lot of different factors and vaulters from one person to the next.
I know for a fact that there are people on here (men) that have made a profile because they believe ‘such and such’ a few doors down is a swinger and they heard that this is the best place to see her…and the are SURE they hat such and such profile is her because the bay window in one of her photos is the same as theirs…. I know this because this kind of example has come up in conversation at work from two different people (about two different profiles).
For me, it’s just I don’t want a face picture on my public profile. But I have and do send out face pics on request. |

I have my face pics in private and will happily show them to people I choose… unfortunately I know of people I work with who have been harassed and hounded for being on this site by less tolerant colleagues, some of whom have even created profiles just to get screenshots of profiles.
Because of that intolerance and abuse I only show my face to those I want to |

Not a risk as we all hear for the same.
Guess for me it’s trust that if someone does recognise you they don’t tell others if they are out in open about it. Reasons are I’m bi and like to keep this from mainly children/family and job.
Recently signed up for an event which had a Kik group.
On it i recognised an old friend and his wife as they shared pics on the group chat. I had no idea they would be on this site didn’t seem the type.
Stopped me going to the event as thought it would get awkward for both couples, especially with me being bisexual and worry that getting out there..
Maybe I’m just ever thinking it I guy was
So that’s my risk and why I don’t show face x |

I think if people found out they'd be more curious than derisive, but I agree it's worse for women.
The majority of people claim to be liberal and tolerant but I think that goes out the window once they find out a woman is enjoying sex outside the sanctity of holy wedlock.
Plus it's a green light to insensitive and indiscreet people. |

Yeah I don't want to be stopped while out and about with my kids.
My governing body would class being here as cause for dismissal too and have done it previously in similar circumstances.
People may be here for the same reason but as pointed out above some don't care or have any respect regarding other people's privacy and send private pics and inboxes to group chats, others don't take a no well and could share those pics.
It's not worth the risk for many of us.

Aren't you worried about the external app being hacked?" it's a strongly encrypted app that cannot really be compromised. Also, there's no harm in sending a picture of yourself through an app. This site is a different ball game. |

I happily send them in private format after a few messages are exchanged but not just on public. Unfortunately I live in a small town where gossip and talk runs rife. I don't want my future to be determined by my potential past.
Also, i recently had someone disbelieve me for being real... not really sure how I change that and to be honest I'm not sure if I want to. |

The risk is more that the world of work, certainly in most bigger companies, is a very conservative place so anything that management perceive to be not a type of behaviour they want associated with the brand can get you fired. |

Even that is not beyond abuse though, I swapped pics with a guy before a meet and he was deffo not the guy in the picture he sent, he was more like Wurzel Gummage on my doorstep, when I asked him about it he said well if I had sent a real photo of me we would not have met, to which I replied well we have now goodbye! |

Your secrets are your secrets. Expecting a stranger to keep your secrets for you is unreasonable. It's of no value to them. Yes I have face pics I received from people here and sure lots of people do as well. As I'm typing I'm wondering should I delete them. We had our pics taken and shared. Someone said they recognised our pics from another profile they talked to and someone we met thought they recognised our faces from pics but we didn’t send any.
People do copy face pics and share them. Once you send you don’t know where they’ll end up.
We don’t send face pics now but do blind socials.
We have good jobs and nosey kids so don’t want to be outed. Face pics are too risky for us. |

Of course it's the same for men. There have been a number of high profile male forumites no longer with us because they were harassed, stalked and/or outed to employers and family.

What I’m saying is if a single man says for example he’s not showing his face for the reason been his profession would be seen as not genuine |

"Depending on your profession... Absolutely.
Unfortunately not everyone you meet in this world is nice.

"There is actually something a little bit hot and exciting about a blind date did one recently and was perfect.
Don’t the guide dogs watching, giving disapproving stares, put you off a bit?
"
True story went to a party
Went up to the bedroom and there actually was a partially sighted guy and his dog was sat by the bed while he played with a lady |

Because men get ridiculed all the time on these forums for not been genuine I’m guessing there is a large percentage that aren’t but doesn’t mean we are all the same |

Like other aspects of the scene its all a matter of risk assessment v reward. Everyone's circumstances are different and thus so are the risks. Best way to approach it is to ask the key what if's. As long as your happy to shoulder your face photos being misused or people knowing about your sex life or any safety risks about people knowing who you are then crack on.
Personally we find face photos are more trouble than it's worth. Not that we fully incognito with are current photos (we have been recognised from them) but it makes it a lot less likely. So for us it's the best balance of reward v risk. |

Because I've had complete strangers approach me at a fab social using my real name and saying they recognised me from my pics in the group chat.
I had never been in the chatgroup and wouldn't have posted a facepic even if I had.
I made enquiries among those who were in the group so I know exactly who was sharing my info.
It didn't surprise me because this person had shared other womens details with me a few years ago and she has a history of trolling social media and"finding" fabbers.
I've also spoken to some of those who have been outed and some have been mentioned by name here on the forums. |
