Fresh crusty bread, preferably wholemeal, cheese, lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, raw peppers, spring onion, coleslaw, pickled onions,potato salad, branston, sliced ham and a sliced apple.

To me, a ploughman's is a plate of salad and accompaniments, not a sandwich, so I can have as much on the plate as I like!

Great call OP, it's been absolutely ages since I had a Ploughmans! All the ingredients except celery please. Oh, and crusty bread served with Welsh butter. And cornichons, the 'tart' variety.
