We use winks to show interest, if we get one back we send a message. If we get a wink, we usually message them if their profile interests us.
We think they’re a good way to gauge interest without messaging

Sometimes when I'm bored I wink random guys knowing they can't message me. Then watch as they view my profile about 50 times in 10 minutes.

Imo it’s just like swiping right on tinder, or liking someone on hinge. Showing your interest in someone and then letting them make the next move whether they wink/message back, or ignore  |
