this annoys me. Watched murry yesterday and when a call is challanged, you get a sega image of the shot. Fuck me, they waste HD technology on players reactions, why cant they run the side and tram lines with it so you see the actual footage. Twats. Rant over. |

Well it started with the cricket as a way of generating the trajectory of the ball after hitting the batsman. Because it's a CGI effect, that's just the way that hawkeye has gone for all sports into which it's been introduced.
I'm not a fan of tennis but didn't there used to be a little beep to suggest a line or foot fault at Wimbledon? |

the beep was and still is only for if you touch the net when serving |
