"Mindhunter, still annoyed Netflix axed it."
netflix didn't axe per se, they let it drag out and the actors and director went off to do other projects.
A third series is a possibility. Fincher has been signed exclusively to netflix for 4 years |

"Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency "
To be fair, season 2 was weird as shit, and was debatable at how good it was especially compared to the first season. Plus some allegations against Max Landis at the time sort of put the whole thing to bed. |

I loved both seasons. They were completely insane but really entertaining. Plus I wanted to know what happened next ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

Firefly can not be beaten on this. It's so far ahead. Never really was given a chance, the odds were against it from the start.
Revolution had promise for sure, but it was a fair bit generic on its formula.
Colony, again, had promise but followed the standard formula.
Angel, the show was pushing toward jumping the shark near the end but to be cancelled when it did left us with a cliffhanger ending. |

Hard sun, a apocalyptic cop story that never got beyond I think six episodes, it had its appeal in so much as how society would breakdown and face complete armageddon!.....a happy ending ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

He gave an interview couple of months ago where he said there definietly won't be a third series, Netflix said it was too expensive to make and not enough viewers. |

"What shows were you peeved about being axed?
Now and Again
Enterprise & TOS
Firefly
Dark Angel"
As soon as I saw the thread title I immediately thought Firefly
Jupiter Rising (ended as it was getting good)
Altered Carbon
Umbrella Academy (I know there’s one last season coming but I need more) |

The earlier BBC version with Stephen Mangan was much better, but was also cut short. |

"Harry Hills TV burp"
I loved that but I remember him saying he quit the show because his mental health was suffering. The sheer volume of stuff he had to watch and record meant he was missing out on time with his family. |

Mindhunter
The OA
Netflix is terrible for losing interest in its own original shows. A lot of the stuff they're making now is absolute dross- shows with stupid twists and all the Harlan Corben dramas which are essentially the same story but altered slightly each time.
Game of Thrones got an ending but it was a rushed one so the producers could run off and do Star Wars. Had it been more protracted some of the decisions in the final season might have landed a lot better. |
