It’s not even Sundae yet….

Today I realised I might have the eating habits of a kid as my workmate made me my lunch today of ice cream and sorbet with berry’s sauce and some whipped cream and yesterday I had the sexiest cherry Eton mess
It’s sundae season and I’m contemplating if it’s possible to instead of batch making meals for the freezer, just batching sundaes (maybe the heat has gotten to me hehe)
But curious what you fabulous lot would choose and put on your perfect sundae? What flavours of ice cream and what toppings are you choosing? are you a chocolate on chocolate fiend, a classic knickerbocker glory type of a cheeky like a banana split?

I think I want pistachio based.
Had the most, amazing gelato the other day.
With chopped pistachio, obviously, maybe whipped cream and a slightly salted caramel to finish.
It'd look disgusting. Pale green and brown. With bits.

I'm not great with classis sundaes as I don't like cream. But if you let me skip it, I'd like some kind of almond, coconut and chocolate combo. Maybe bits of brownie. Thanks very much!
(This thread has reminded me of an 80s dessert at Wimpy! The Brown Derby: a warm donut topped with Mr Whippy ice cream, chocolate sauce and chopped hazelnuts - as good as it sounds!!) |

Eton Mess is so good isn't it?
The best one I ever had was on the Amalfi coast - freshly made lemon gelato, crushed amaretti biscuits, lightly whipped mascarpone, drizzle of limoncello and overlooking the sparkling clear blue sea.
And then my nut allergy developed so I had to say farewell to that. |

Tbh, I think they do sundaes there.
I will drag the work sister there weekend after next following our bottomless cocktail brunch.
We will get sundaes. Then pub crawl.
Then regret choices.

This is my kind of thread!
I'm very much a chocolate, fudge brownie kind of guy. The more chocolate the better, but definitely top it off with some cream and chopped nuts. |
