Any genre and decade.
My first two:
Laughter in Paradise. A wealthy practical joker leaves his fortune to his relatives so long as they undertake tasks completely against their nature.
Hope and Glory. John Boormans classic story of a young boy growing up in London during WW2. |

Gangsters, Guns and Zombies - very silly and we're in it."

Event Horizon, cosmic horror with Sam Neill. It's horrible but in a good way or is it good in a horrible way?
The Philadelphia Story. Cary Grant and Katherine Hepburn, sharp and biting comedy. Superb acting full of beautiful people. |

One of those sci-fi movies, like Danny Boyle's Sunshine, that passed most people by on release but will go on to become cult movies. |
