Aren't words lovely? Aren't they powerful? Aren't they thought-provoking?
This morning an antipodean friend of mine (no not her, the other one!), used the word — "titivated".
That word has nothing to do with breasts or nipples, unfortunately! |

Hifalutin
I had a relationship with a woman who studied linguistics, she claimed that to be the most ironic word in the English language.
Also to date, the most dry sense of sarcasm I've ever encountered. |

"Interrobang — a printed punctuation mark , available only in some typefaces, designed to combine the question mark and the exclamation point (!)
Another splendiferously fab word."
A conflation consistent with the concept of écriture. |

"Psithurism
The sound of wind rustling leaves in the trees "
My gratitude, such a pleasant natural phenomena. I will be smiling to myself later, whilst on my woodland mooch. As if somehow having a word, gives me a deeper appreciation. Who knows maybe it does? |

Primordial, noosphere. Synchronicity.

You do yourself an injustice sir.
I am only the observer: offering a humble critique - true genius is in the creation.
Bring forth your crayon art! For I am nought without your inspiration. |

The first 2 are excellent.
The others I have used conversationally so they can't be that archaic, surely? |

It is apocryphal to believe there is a truly altruistic act. Even in a solipsistic existence a mind will gain pleasure from giving to others. |

I use titivate quite often, actually.
What about a cup of "char"? |

That’s not strictly true, y’know. You absolutely can titivate a pair of tits. If you want to.
.
I think my favourite obscure word is concupiscence. |

The word 'hello', while not at all obscure, it's meaning has changed over the years.
Originally it was used in circumstances of surprise and discovery, "hello, that footprint wasn't there before". |

Procrastinating... often here when I should be doing something.
Succinct... more often than not the opposite to my posts or messages
Those being two of the more common words I frequently use, so many other good ones here though and so many that only come to mind in the context of a conversation and then need to explain them |
