I’m getting my tongue pierced next Thursday and a bit nervous about the healing process. For those of you who have yours done how have you found it in regards to healing time and also (this is the important bit) being able to give oral (to men and women as I like both). Is there any difference? How long did you have to wait etc? |

It will swell and probably more than you'll expect.
It will be hard to eat for a few days so try liquids and ice lollies.
Don't forget to get the bar downsized as soon as you see the swelling go down. |

And to be honest, they pierce so far back you can only feel it if they lick with the whole flat tongue instead of the tip and quite often the ball will embed in to the tongue over the years and isn't as pronounced for blow jobs
Then it's negligible.
Or so I've found over the years as both a giver and receiver with a pierced tongue |

Thank you so much for your replies, that’s really helpful. I have been warned by my piercer that the first 5-6 days are the hardest because of the swelling and discomfort and if I can cope with that then I’ll be fine. I trust her implicitly as she has done all my piercings (apart from my first lobe piercings) and I’ve never had an issue and I know the aftercare is superb plus she’s always honest with me as well |
