I disagree! I love the super at reviews and lets face it - it's the closest any of us are ever going to get to one!
If it went back to the dark old days of reviewing the new mondeo/golf/panda every week I, and I suspect many, would switch off!
If I want to test drive a bog standard hatchback ill pop into the local dealer!
I can't see that happening at my nearest Ferrari dealership! (And yes we have one in Swindon!!) |

The show wouldn't be half as much fun, or one of the most popular shows on telly if it wasn't hosted by those 3, who while they can be ludicrously old fashioned in their opinions, have made the show what it is. Likewise as said above who wants to watch the new Ford focus offering being reviewed every week. It's car porn and entertainment.
And I need to fix the engine on my Mazda Bongo so I can get it back on the road for some fun. Got privacy glass all round and the seats flatten to a bed!! |

It's escapism, fantasy - and often just plain daft entertainment!
Give them a bigger budget I say and let them get even more outrageous !!
It's also the BBC's biggest earner as a worldwide export - which it would certainly cease to be if made 'sensible' !! |

I'll never get bored of it or the format to be honest. I used to like Fifth gear, but as you mentione Vicky is a nightmare , sick of hearing her screeching louder than the cars as she's 'presenting'. Although I'm sure I could come up with something to stop her screeching, well she wouldn't be able to screech with her mouth full hahaha |
