In this world of tablets, smartphones and computers, does anyone still buy physical magazines?

I used to buy loads, but now I'm down to just two that I purchase regularly:

Starburst and Infinity.

I thought this thread was going to be about porn mags. And maybe the old time delights of finding them abandoned in hedgerows.

That tat was of a better quality when I was a kid.

I remember an issue of Look-in magazine that came with one of those bendy 7 inch vinyl records of the US band Jet.

Let’s go buy some and throw ’em in hedges at the roadside. We can ‘find’ them later and relive our youth.

I love magazines, I tend to find them in charity shops for 10p a go rather than the £'s they want new. You end with whatever titles they have but I did get some Resurgence and Ecologist which were really interesting and then Landscapes and Country Living so my coffee table now looks like a waiting room. I like the short article format of reading at the moment, I havent got the patience for long books.

Hedge porn and forest porn. Now that's worth a documentary

Does anyone remember Jack magazine?

I used to get it every month until they ceased publication.

Oh god yes. I was riding my bike down country lanes (Early 1980's) and there was a carrier bag laying in a hedgerow. It looked "bulky".

I stopped and looked inside...and those were not "comics". About half a dozen magazines in there. I'd not seen a naked woman before. I was a little...shocked.

They "fell" in to my bag and well, I had a hidey place at home that my parent's never found, thank god. They would have gone ballistic, probably (Perhaps not Dad, but Mum definitely).

Such, cough, innocent, times

I bought and still have the first and only two issues of Planet Driving magazine, a publication from Nigel Mansell and Karl Fogarty.

I miss buying magazines. Now my choice is relegated to the accompanying free glossy food magazines that arrive with my grocery order.
