Can you play a musical instrument ?
Jump to: Newest in thread
First career in music. Now settled and play only to relax and as a hobby a bit of piano and a few others.
Quite small in person but biggest instrument I tried out was the Alphorn. Was an experience. |

I have a collection of instruments that I can't play - guitar, bass - though I can do a bit of a riff on that, and a trumpet. I also have 4 kazoos that I can play, and my main instrument is home-made, and I play it very well, according to everyone who watches my band. |

Played guitar for 30 odd years, started on acoustic, progressed to bass, regressed on to guitar, ended up lead guitar in 3 bands and forced into vocals (as well as lead guitar) for one band, but drums are the core of any band! Fact |

I can play a lot of instruments.. have my grade 8 in violin, cello and French horn. I also play trumpet, cornet, and to be fair most brass with the exception of the trombone
( dad was a military band teacher so I started on the bugle when I was a tiny tot)
I started the violin at 4...grade 8 by 11... then cello...then I found the French horn at about 12.... omg I love that instrument.
I can play piano a bit but wish I could play it more freestyle. Woodwind... I can again play most enough to get a decent tune.
Tried to learn the guitar.... but can't for some reason |

I dabble in a few things (guitar, piano, flute, clarinet, cello, violin, ukekele, Mandolin) but bass is the only thing I play to a professional standard (that was my first instrument at university and keys were second). I'm a retired musician, but lockdown really made me antsy to play again, so I'm slowly coming out of retirement (and loving it).
I've got a bit of a bad habit of buying new instruments that I've never tried before and thinking "how hard can it be". |

"I can play the piano but I really want to learn the violin. "
Tough going, but a very rewarding instrument, particularly if you join an orchestra.
I also play piano, saxophone (badly) and guitar.
Totally love playing music and I have more patience these days . |
