There's an elderly man lives across the road. He's on his own now. A car pulled up, man woman and I'm guessing grandson got out the drivers seat and the neighbour came out all excited and hugs etc and his smile hasn't left his face |

It's the smile I'm referring to as beautiful |

"The most glorious foxgloves in full flower

And if we're talking north-east Scotland (enjoyed a squint at your profile) I'd add the exuberant clumps of wild lupins I see along the roadsides of the A9 in the Cairngorms. Beautiful things, and so unexpected when I first saw them. |

Stealing an hour away from work to take my elder daughter thrift shopping, and her finding things that lit up her beautiful face. Spending time with her is precious and makes me smile. |

I do love lupins. The A9 is definitely not in the NE, though |

Perth to Thurso seems pretty north-east to this southern Englishman! Then again I've spent most of my life thinking of Milton Keynes as being the Midlands and Birmingham up near Liverpool in the northern wilderness that lies near Carlisle... |

A local cat has sort-of adopted us. She came in the house a lot in the cold weather and currently hangs out in our garden. We've had issues of birds eating our redcurrants every year, but this year, thanks to our little security guard, we have a full bush. I smile to see all the glistening red berries. Spotting the half eaten pigeon corpse on the lawn this morning wasn't quite so beautiful |

"Hello beautiful people,
Tell me something (not someone) you’ve seen today that is beautiful? Tell us about it. Describe it. "
Working in the new forest today as I was leaving the job a herd of wild ponies about 15 casually strolling along the road not a care in the world, resplendent with some foal's.
One horsey even came up to my van window and stuck his snout through the open window.
I may have imagined it but I'm sure he was smiling |

An elderly woman dropped her shopping coming out of Sainsbury's this afternoon.
It was a joy to behold two pre-teen boys rushing to help her. They picked up her shopping, took it to her car and re-packed it for her.
There are some beautiful people |

Then you find out they pocketed the smaller items |
