Well, as some of you know, I've taken on a part time degree whilst working...... But, really struggling to get the motivation to study. I should be up now at my desk reading pages and pages of articles, but somehow Forum chat just feels way more fun!
Help!! |

I completed my degree last year. its well worth the effort; even if it feels like a bind at the time.
Fab is a big distraction to any work that you have to do though as 99% of the time you'll be on your computer.
there's no special formula to motivation as it comes from within. but I found a motivation chart helps. basically its a picture of all the things you're working towards. it just helps you visualise your goal.
Plus the feeling of being Mancman89 BAHons is amazing. |

Try to study in bite size sessions, then take a break, and do it like that,

Graduated 18 months ago and miss studying so much. Made the mistake of looking at new courses starting in september, just for pleasure.
I am such a geek.
Make the most of it and get your ass off here! |

Completed my nursing last year, found study v difficult at times with 3 teenage kids around. Stick at it and as previously suggested bite size chunks!!
Also try Neilstoolbox website for easy harvard referencing, it takes all the pain away
Good luck |

I've just finished my degree while working, one year was well hard for motivation as just lost job so was temping and due to that not paying good I was working in the pub as well and had now my ex then my fiancé in afghan so at times I just wanted to cry and do nothing even to quit! But hey every time I said if I finish and get first ill be well proud and ill get better job. I've finished missed first by 0.5% but still great and got much better job I absolutely love. So keep going its worth it! I'm now looking for masters |

Speak to the college or wherever it is and see if they have a guidance centre. They may be able to assist with funding or an adult learning grant.
If its a vocational course they may be able to help. Funnily enough, I was financially better off when I was studying from grants.
Also, if you get a meeting with a good advisor, they may unofficially advise you to 'lose' some qualifications so you dont have to pay a full amount if seen as over qualified.
All the best with it x |

peruse the submission time table, bank balance and weigh up the pros and cons of your frivolity.
If that doesn't work wait until the last minute the stress and caffeine will be enough to steamroller your libido, sleep pattern and sense of humour
