Haha she’s free to hate them and it wouldn’t bother me if she did everyone’s entitled to like/hate whatever they want. I never read I just looked at the photos I thought maybe after the 60 previous “headlines” of her dramatic weight loss to maybe have a look and see

I'm going to reply differently. No point repeating the same.

I see the way TV has gone over the years, and can't help but feel it's media manipulation to teach us to celebrate the stupid.

Whether or not they're stupid is a different matter, it's their fame persona we are seeing, and judging.

We became fixated with nonsense, reality TV and the likes, embracing the stupidity, then they started pushing bumbling Boris onto us, encouraging the public to embrace his numbskull ways, reporting on him much like a reality TV star.

The general public fell for it.

We used to celebrate people that changed the world, now we're distracted by anyone the media push onto us.

It's the way I view it anyway.

Rise of the social media here today gone tomorrow star of the moment. Be it reality TV, content creators on platforms like YouTube or tiktok or those advertising the latest trends or barely disguised set up pranks. It's a thing now. I literally hate those on platforms that stage beef and drama with others to get followers and cash or begging for gifts. Proper cheeses off

I'll disagree with you about TV being the source but there's definitely something in the culture of celebrity that is a particularly uk phenomenon. I think the press has more of a role in constructing these parasocial relationships. And it's arguable the press is only giving its readers what they want. The Mail website gets a lot of traffic, most from women. What the hell is that about?

As far as bojo was concerned, he constructed a persona and the audience loved him for it. Its a different thing from say Jade Goody, Amy or Pete Doherty.

I would argue neither are stupid. Don't judge a book by its cover... Gemma Collins is an astute business women. And Joey Essex has a charm n appeal to ppl. Which they've both capitalised on. Now is that stupid.....

It's media marketing at its finest. If someone creates a selling point, their agent will tell them to play up to that. Every 'celebrity' has a persona and its rare you'll ever see the real them so I wouldn't judge them on what you see on TV.

They are people too and most likely find these kinds of attacks hurtful just like the rest of us.

Haha well 3.5 stone shared over the 200 previous articles about her weight loss got to be somewhere near 3 ounces between each article so wasn’t far off
