"All That She Wants is my favourite too. Always thought it was so underrated. Last Christmas is my all time favourite Christmas song as well.
Beth x"
I can#t agree with you more, So underrated, I think it might be because it was never out as a single on its own, it was B side of last Christmas. But I think it should have been an A side single.
and I can not help myself but sing along when it comes on the radio |

Father figure I loved but I think the video helped. My second all time favourite Christmas song is ‘last Christmas’ also soft spot for the video.
I love an Irish song called ‘waltz away dreaming’ a recent version by Toby Bourke has George included and he’s such a great presence on that song.
I’m not his greatest fan or have many of his songs on my Spotify playlists, but I cannot deny his importance in music and his generosity in real life either. |

Big Wham! and George Michael fan here!
My favourite Wham! album is Make It Big and Older/Listen without prejudice solo albums. I was devastated when I heard about George passing, remember hearing my downstairs neighbours listening to Different Corner on that Christmas Day and I thought shouldn’t they listen to Last Christmas? What is going on.
I lived just a short bus away from his Highgate home so I was a frequent visitor during the grieving period and volunteered to help with tidying up the little place where people left flowers and gifts. I’m still not quite over it, RIP Yog xx |

I remember feeling like I had lost a member of my family when he died. Like a famous cousin. He was part of my life, growing up, falling in love, falling out of love and beyond.
I loved him then and will always love him, and Thank him for being the music of my youth and beyond. |

"My wife was a dear friend of George and regularly stayed with him at his various houses. Still in touch with his dad and Andrew. "
I am envious of your wife.
He was one of my 1st role models, I would have loved to be his friend. Noone has ever had a bad word about this wonderful man.
I honestly felt lost when I heard he had died. like a peace of my life had died,
He really did mean that much to me. |

somewhere |
Saw him a couple of times live in concert and glad I did
His version of somebody to love is probably better than the original Queen version and even the rehearsal version on youtube is unreal
The song I listen to most of his is "praying for Time"
Its gorgeous |

She knew both George and Andrew before they were famous and used to go out to clubs with them way back when and the friendship just continued. |

Had a dress with GO-GO GIRL on it when I was about 8, I think!
Loved him as a solo artist, although Kissing a Fool and I Can't Make You Love Me are my favourites, of the slower stuff, Father Figure and Dont Let The Sun Go Down on Me with EJ, Too Funky, so many, such a talented, beautiful, flawed individual |
