Out in force these last few weeks.

Where I live there are several that drive down our street blasting their tunes.

£1.70 for a small ice cream with a flake.

How much does your ice cream man charge?

Your looking at £2+ for anything now.

That said there's so few about nowadays that actually go street to street

Haven’t been able to buy one for years! Every ice cream van around my end plays the music all the time! and my dad always taught me they only play that when they have sold out!

£3 plus for an ice cream, and they've been parked outside the school at home time every day this week.

My husband came home from work Thursday and the first thing he said was "I've been stood up". Turns out the ice cream van failed to turn up at the industrial estate that day. He's been buying an ice cream every day and has been given the nickname at work of Mr Whippy.

I believe it costs him £2, and that's with a flake and strawberry sauce.

There's one that goes to the local park, never plays music though. Costs £2 for small ice cream with flake.

The ice cream man where I grew up sold more than just ice cream , if you asked for a screwball special he gave you a little bag of green herbs with it

Was that a 69 with a flake in it?

If so that’s cheap!

Our daughter went to the van that comes round by ours the other day with £10. When she came home I asked her for the change back and she said there wasn’t any! £10 for three cones. With no flakes in sight

And why don’t ice cream vans hang around long enough? By the time a kid has heard the jingle, run to find mum or dad, had the argument about it not being too close to dinner, begged them to hand over some money, got their shoes on, run through two lanes of traffic and got to the van, it’s always gone!

The van is a bit dodge to be fair. He’s cut a makeshift hole in the side and painted it bright pink so I imagine he pockets the change
