Hello all, been a while since I started a thread, so don't be shy - join in!
Whilst chatting to a lovely forum chum this afternoon, I owned up to secreting ice pops about my person to try to keep cool - this damnable heat is near killing me!!
So, what lengths have you gone to? Share with us the silliest, most ridiculous methods.
Hot weather does not a happy Red make 
I'm open to any and all suggestions....

It’s not silly to me but I run a bath of cold water and lie in it for 20-30 mins before getting into bed…
It works and keeps me cool and comfortable in bed most of the night

I got up and had a wee at 10.30.
Glass of water & choc ice at 11.00
Back on bed, naked with fan on.
Feeling pretty good too |

simple solution if you have a 2 storey house make a room a dark room.
no sunlight and try to avoid that room all day as it gives a peaceful cool room to sleep in.
if you have an upstairs flat its ackward but you can cool it down by using a water evap wall
As i hate fan noise i have to use trickle water and computer fans as they are the cheapest and quietest.
ive built a box with one port out as blows a cool air across your naked body and it even cools the room down.
a 20 degree drop for silly plastic build

I do that too, but folk complain about it. One young gal had a bloody hot water bottle the other day as the air con was giving her "a chill"! I kid you not |

Been starting work at 3am all week but long distance driving without aircon is a killer so been taking my breaks sat in the back with my load (refrigerated down at - 8)
Then shower when I'm home and turn the shower down to cold until I can't cope, with it anymore and it seems to work. |
