Banksy has kept all of his stencils and will be displaying them at GOMA from Sunday.

Anybody else really interested in going to Glasgow and seeing this?

I personally love what he does and on a very early morning drive through Glastonbury saw a ‘Banksy’ in progress.

The stunt where he had a stall set up selling genuine Banksys to unaware Londoners was amazing

I'd happily go to a Banksy exhibition, he's got a great appeal of intrigue and humour about him, the actual piece of work aside, there's the wonder of the logistics of it all which is almost as interesting as the product.

I kind of like the potential contradiction of him being both commercial and anti-establishment.

Having just read that I may have disappeared up my own arse and started talking like Brian Sewell!

Never really got it, there is no art as stencils & it's ultimately graffiti which if a Banksy encouraged but anyone else discouraged.

Most cities are blighted by horrible graffiti & tags on signs, monuments, walls etc.

Some say he's a social commentator but it's just another blokes opinion. Farcical that people with more money than sense buy the tat.

The definition of art is a funny one to get. Duchamp put a urinal in a gallery, warhol put advertising in a gallery, tracey emin made a mess.......

Banksy says the street is my gallery and yeah, its not van gogh, its straight up social commentary. The movie Exit Through The Gift Shop is worth a look.

Anyone who ever got in trouble with the police for writing graffiti or the like should have their convictions or whatever punishment they received quashed and refunded as he is worshipped for criminal damage. Even his criminal damage is protected from others damaging it.

I love art, but I don’t like vandalism.

Not even if it is art.
