If you had to say what's the best thing about your area where you live what would it be?

20 miles either way from home we have two major cities Cardiff and Swansea , yet we live in beautiful countryside with mountains, trees, rivers and lot's of wildlife, it truly is a lush place to live.

I'm at the foot of the Chilterns in an AONB. It's gorgeous here, especially in Spring. I'm 10 minutes walk from countryside, and I take my dog out in it every day. The crime rate is negligible. I'm 20 minutes from Oxford, or Reading, and 45 minutes drive from London. I love it here.

Good transport links. Plenty of places to see/entertain nearby being just on the outskirts of London. Wonderful woodland on the doorstep - great for families and running!

Being surrounded by stunning country side and the sea on our doorstep but a tad to near Cornwall !! also having acres of woodlands also helps plus stunning coastal walks but the city centre is shite and the council is even worse ..xx

Being minutes walk to could to countryside, 10 minutes to city. Best of both. Oh BTW. And surrounded by fellow swingers. what's not to love.

.

The countryside. Being pretty much equidistance to three cities, easy good transport links. The cost of things compared to down south. The bluebells that appear in the woods opposite. The way people always say hi, good morning if you're out on a walk - even when you look like a dirty stop out. The brilliant independent restaurants.

It's really rather lovely.

Walk 10 minutes north and I'm in a small but vibrant city. Walk 10 minutes south and I'm in the country.

Wiltshire and London

Proximity to the countryside - the bike rides are great, as is the varied birdlife.

Relative proximity to London for the grown-up culture largely lacking here.

The next-door neighbours.

Ability to afford a decent-sized house without gym-bunny upstairs neighbours.

That I can walk a few minutes from my house and be in miles of farmland/countryside really enjoy long walks there with the dog. Cambois beach is just a few miles down the road too.

The town itself though is a depressing shithole, working at Whitley bay at the minute and the place is amazing like another world despite being less than ten miles away driving home from here back to home town is depressing
