Yeah I agree, it's nice seeing everyone mixed in with the forums too. Separate groups tend to create tribalism which I really don't like. |

Be careful what you wish for, you may get it.
There’s a few on this site who don’t want the Trans community involved in the swinging scene. They’d get their way if every discussion or subject about the TV/TS community was squirrelled away to a separate area in the forums that nobody visits apart from the TV/TS people on here.
Be on the main boards just like that thread which is in the lounge currently, you think those that dislike us would actually prefer to not have to see it ?
Don’t hide Trans subjects away, discuss them in the main areas instead.

I dunno... I've been part of the LGBTQ+ evolution for so long I think having a bit of a "ghetto" is not a bad thing as things open up.
We can have our cake and eat it. So I would love to spend time in trans oriented (but not exclusive) forum where we can have safer conversations and revel in the admiration. A totally trans world.
At the same time, we as individuals should also spend as much time in general (eg Lounge or Swinging Advice) or even other sub cultures (eg BDSM) and be highly present and visible there! |

Canvass for a Fabtrans site, unlikely anyone will because the demand is pretence from everyone.
When we have trans sites, trans sports & trans spaces everyone would live in peace as no one disrespects trans people but disrespect the demand of pretence and silly pretence they equal real women in sport, life & privacy.

I think "ghetto" is maybe an unfortunate choice of terms.
I certainly didn't envisage a Trans forum section as being somewhere I would somehow limit my engagement to; any more than I only post in the Lounge. I thought of it more as an area to group and make more readily accessible threads on stuff that we may or may not feel specifically pertains to us, makeup, hair, clothes, etc. etc. They can often drop off the radar in the busy general sections, what with all Brucey's posts and the inevitable Torso Tuesdays and what have you.
I'd still post mainly in the more general Lounge and Swingers sections, because I like interacting with the full spread of members. And I agree, we should be fully integrated into that. |

This is transphobia. What you're advocating is segregation of a type that I'm all too familiar with, having grown up under Apartheid. "Separate, but equal" was supposedly what that was about, but it was really just about keeping certain groups down and "in their place".
There are nuanced conversations to be had about the intersection of women's and trans rights and access to facilities and spaces, but your statement is reductive, simplistic and discriminatory. It's also insulting to characterise what is an exceedingly fraught and difficult life path for anyone who walks some part of it as being a "silly pretence". Please try to have more empathy. |
