No not *that* fringe.

Does one pay or is it seen as included with the original cut?

"So you want your fringe trimming but not the rest of your hair ?"

Yes, my stylist said

"Give me a call and nip in for a fringe trim in a couple of weeks"

I always understood this was part of the service but I don't want to assume. I know the obvious answer is to ask her

Well I'm guessing if she charges you, you won't fall into financial ruin. Go and get it trimmed, you will know for future visits, or lie. Hello, my daughter had her hair cut and the lady who cut her hair said pop back in a couple of weeks.......she's too shy to ask if there will be a charge ?

Oh I'm not worried about the cost more the slight awkwardness of not knowing if I need to pay or not. I'm a big, grown up person I'll live .

They know me so I can't get away with blaming my daughter

Then walk to to the till with your cash or card in your hand in readiness to pay. If she says that will be £15, pay up. If she says no charge, I would leave a tip personally.

It should absolutely be included. You're going for a haircut. The fringe is part of the hair... The hairdresser is already there!

This is a separate visit, weeks after the original hair cut.

Ahhh note to self: read the entire thread

Yeah, you would have to pay for it. I see it that as soon as I leave, I expect to pay for my next visit.

I think one will be expected to pay.

The hairdressers where I go offer this as a free service. You can just rock up and they fit you in

I would just call them to check though as they all work differently, but free fringe trim is definitely a thing

Call me an idiot…..but why don’t they cut it when they do the original cut? Is this some witchcraft that dudes don’t understand?

I go for a haircut, they do the full job in one go. I don’t need two visits

When I had a fringe I used to go back and get it trimmed, I’m sure it was only a couple of pound.

Manchester (she/her)

The hairdresser I went to gave a free fringe trim between cuts.

(I've quit the hairdresser. My fringe is down to my throat )

Every salon I've ever been to offer this as a free service but I haven't had a full fringe for years and times change

If your fringe skims your eyebrows it needs a trim every couple of weeks

Back in the day fringe trims were free. Just pop in and wait but I'd assume now days that there's a couple of quid charge.

OP did you get your haircut ? Your thread a few weeks ago was you thinking on it and we had some suggestions. I said Kim b circa 9 1/2 weeks lol

A woman had hers trimmed while I was having my hair done in a salon.

They charged her £15.

She paid it, walked out, then came back in to query the price.

She was told it was correct, had a little moan, then left.

The trim took about 3 minutes.

I usually have hairdressers say “you can pop back for a free fringe trim” but I’ve never tested that offer to know if they mean it.

I did get my hair cut. It's similar to the style you suggested, framing my face but longer at the back and takes advantage of my natural curl. She cut a fringe in, rather reluctantly but she had to agree it looks good . She's an excellent stylist.

Whoa! I'm pretty sure that if she does charge me it won't be that much. I'll ask her at the time.

It's ok, I'm often in town anyway and it'll only take a couple of minutes. A proper colour, cut and style usually takes four hours

I'd offer and let them decline it if that's what they do - complimentary fringe trimming.

Delightful Bliss

I have a undercut and they normally charge me a fiver for a 2 min shave, I'd imagine it would be similar pricing and they can encourage you to book your next haircut, so encourages repeat buisness

I've got appointments booked until November, she's so popular that you need to have them booked that far in advance. I doubt they'll charge much more than a fiver if they charge at all
