Do you ever have those moments when you just feel overwhelmed and a bit weepy, but nothing has really happened to trigger it?

Sighs.

Yes. In those moments I put on some sad songs and have a good cry. I usually feel better afterwords and sleep a bit better

Yes. It happened a few days back when I was driving. ‘Sailing’ by Rod Stewart came on and it really hit me to the point that I had to pull over.

It has been several years since I have cried like that.

Yes. It happens. I try more to just see them as waves and move with them, let them pass through but know that they will pass.

The urge to fix negative emotions is destructive in itself

Not personally, but been the shoulder to cry on many a time for someone who does. It's usually a case of letting it all out until there's no more tears left, then a nice long chat until everything feels right again.

It's just a brief moment in time and it will eventually pass.

Yes

Sometimes you just need to cry it out.

Be kind to yourself

It's perfectly normal. Your brain can't expect to absorb all the rubbish of the day without an overload at some point.

It's good to let out and create some space

I have this lots, without any particular reason.

It's weird but I also feel much better after.
