I went a walk in the peaks today around youlgreave and went for a dip in the river..,

It’s gone 22:00 and I’m currently sitting in a bath of cold water cooling myself down before heading to bed, 20 mins into a 20-25 min dip.

That’ll keep me comfy in bed all night as it’s still ready 22 degrees here

Evening all. Sat at a computer allegedly working - bloody barrister doesn't touch anything and then sends documents through Sunday lunchtime and says they have to be served tomorrow morning - could I check them.

The response so far today has been F'off but now I am facing up to it to help the client.

Rant over.

Oh, Iain.

I hear the drums echoing tonight

But she hears only whispers of some quiet conversation

She's coming in, 12:30 flight

The moonlit wings reflect the stars that guide me towards salvation

I stopped an old man along the way

Hoping to find some long forgotten words or ancient melodies

He turned to me as if to say, "Hurry boy, it's waiting there for you"

It's gonna take a lot to take me away from you

There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do

I bless the rains down in Africa

Gonna take some time to do the things we never had

The wild dogs cry out in the night

As they grow restless, longing for some solitary company

I know that I must do what's right

As sure as Kilimanjaro rises like Olympus above the Serengeti

I seek to cure what's deep inside

Frightened of this thing that I've become

It's gonna take a lot to drag me away from you

There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do

Gonna take some time to do the things we never had

Hurry boy, she's waiting there for you

It's gonna take a lot to drag me away from you

There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do

I bless the rains down in Africa

I bless the rains down in Africa

(I bless the rain)

I bless the rains down in Africa

(I bless the rain)

I bless the rains down in Africa

I bless the rains down in Africa

(Ah, gonna take the time)

Gonna take some time to do the things we never had

Errm, I know the lyrics, singing it now, but my 68 Yr old brain has frozen with the title and performer's name!

Oh, Iain. It's Africa by Toto."

Well, thank you young man. I can get to sleep soon without stressing!

"On this day 2015 Zimbabwe discarded its own currency, offering an exchange of $1 for 35 quadrillion Zimbabwean dollars.

I recall reading back then of people taking money in a wheelbarrow, just to buy a loaf of Bread! Crazy!

Good Eeeevening Jim, by the way!

Sounds a bit like going to Tesco today.

Good eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevening, Iain.

There's a branch in Zimbabwe??

I just don't know. But let's have a sing song.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FTQbiNvZqaY&pp=ygULdG90byBhZnJpY2E%3D

You've forgotten all those letters, numbers and symbols mean nothing to my appallingly inadequate understanding of what it means!

I bless the rains down in Africa

Gonna take some time to do the things we never had

Hurry boy, she's waiting there for you

It's gonna take a lot to drag me away from you

There's nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do

I bless the rains down in Africa

I bless the rains down in Africa

(I bless the rain)

I bless the rains down in Africa

(I bless the rain)

I bless the rains down in Africa

I bless the rains down in Africa

"On this day 2021 Danish footballer Christian Eriksen suffered an on-field cardiac arrest during the Euro 2020 game against Finland in Copenhagen. He was revived with a defibrillator. The match was controversially restarted, the game finished with a 1-0 Finland win."

That was 2 years ago! Time has flown

But at this time of the night, if you lash the steering wheel down, she mostly steers herself.
