Thought I'd start a thread for those of you that have any tips in this heat to keep yourself abit cooler and more comfortable.
Mine that I have used for a very long time is. Roll some ice in the middle of a hand towel and wear it round your neck. It slowly melts, and keeps your cool for a good few hours, and also doubles up so you can dab off any perspiration throughout the day. |

No getting hot and sweaty faces/hair or ruined make up! "

Shut the curtains, drink plenty of iced coffee, bare minimum of clothes with legs wide open directly opposite of the fan.. that's what I'm doing right now and it works. |

Drink lots of water, sunscreen is for a normal day so don’t sit in the direct sun for the day thinking you are bulletproof and accept that a good modest tan is achieve little by little over several days or…
Tomorrow, when common sense was ignored the day before, your skin will tell you how dumb you were and then I suggest aqueous cream and 200mg ibuprofen every 4 hours.
The Darwin Award will go to those who thing they have built up a level of resistance, try the same thing again and then end up with a melanoma. |

Before aqueous cream, try getting a towel, soak it in cold water, wring it out and apply it to the burn. Get the heat out. |

Sit with your feet in cool water
Soak a tea towel and freeze flat, once frozen, snuggle it
Half fill water bottles and freeze on their side, when frozen fill with water and they’ll stay cold longer
After a shower stay damp and sit or lay near a fan to dry, you’ll cool your body’s core better
