Newcastle and Gateshead

You know the ones… you know they aren’t good but you just have to sit down and watch them….

Well what are yours…

When I was at university, whenever I heard the theme to “a country practice” start.. I just had to sit down!! Yes I know!

Now it’s “wicked tuna” on Nat geo.. it’s rubbish but I have to watch!

P.s anyone who is thinking of putting down “sons and daughters” I will absolutely fight you!! That is a hill I am prepared to die on!!

I guess I would say The Apprentice....it is basically a bunch of over compensating maroons cocking up the most simple tasks and then blaming each other all while everyone laughs at Alan Sugars awful jokes like a programmed bunch of sycophantic wombles.....the giulty pleasure part ends after the 'interview' episode as I have zero interest in who wins, never watched a final and couldn't name a single winner!

In the same category I would put Hells Kitchen (absolutely makes dinner time more fun while watching a bunch of egotistical self claimed expert chefs (one actually..and I shit you not.. thought cold water would boil faster than hot water!) being called donkeys by Ramsay and his insults are at times sublime).

Tabatha Takes Over...like Kitchen Nightmares only with hair salons and Tabatha Coffey is ruthless (and has better heels and jackets than Ramsay) .

It's not a guilty pleasure really but I absolutely love Glow Up the makeup show. There is some great talent there but always potential for some absolute disasters which always makes it fun.

Whew..that's prob a longer answer than you wanted lol

There have been some really sweet couples on that ..and some that sank faster than the Titanic carrying a cargo of lead.

Exactly, it's a perfect blend of "haha what a moron" and "fuck both of you and your happiness"

I always find myself really rooting for the more quirky people and when it works out for them I'm not ashamed to say there have been smiley waterworks.

Yeah, that's always quite wholesome. I suppose my latter comment is more for the couples who are hot AF like it's a surprise they would hit it off

That’s because I can honestly hold up my hand and say I have never watched a single minute of it… I am quite proud of myself!

Manchester-ish

Aussi Gold Hunters. It's a odd mixture of vicariously living out the fantasy of a life changing moment when they do find huge nuggets and schadenfreude when everyone stops work to uncover what turns out to be an old nail or a piece of gold worth a couple of hundred dollars.

Made in Chelsea.

I started watching it many years ago now because a friend was in it.

I still watch it now. People are awful. The drama is ridiculous. It's like a big comfort blanket of absurdity and the occasional odd really touching moment - like last season when a woman spoke about the difficulties of dating as a woman of colour. The heartbreak of IVF.

Transsexual Transylvania

It seems that so many of you like a guilty bit of TV. It really warms a gurl's heart.

I'd like to reiterate JennieTV's recommendation that having a TV in the bedroom is always a good idea.

Almost as dangerous as Midsomer county in England. I got worried when they filmed one in my village! I'm definitely not joining any local societies and I'm staying away from the vicarage. Except for, you know, THOSE days.

Love is Blind but mostly Japanese or Brazilian version. They seem nicer. It's so easy and de braining. A bubble of different reality to enter for a moment. Silly and surreal in a way.
