Bloody hate it, ruining the good weather! Not exactly conducive to fun play either, when sneezing over your partner, eyes streaming, runny nose

Hayfever can get in the bin. Right alongside wasps.

Fun fact but if you get aroused your sympathetic nervous system supresses coughing etc.

I think its either the dopamine or adrenaline?!?

My husband has bad asthma and this hayfever is fucking him up. His cough is awful and he’s so lethargic, been back and forth to the doctors/a&e and he’s on the strongest antihistamines possible (I’m on the same ones as well, but I don’t have asthma)

Taking vitamin C helps. It only lasts 5-6 hours so you can take it twice a day

I'm still searching for the best antihistamine or solution, after many years of suffering.

There is an injection available, it's not on the NHS anymore, I believe it's around £80 privately.

Phenergan is very good for hay fever. It can also stop nausea etc.

There is a night time version that helps you sleep too.

Most pharmacies have it and it's not POM.

Get the flu shot. Sounds weird but it helps. Not a Dr but a chemist and the science makes sense

A little dab of vaseline inside the nostrils was pretty effective for me. Do it first thing in the morning.

Seem to have aged out of hayfever now.

Isn’t having local honey supposed to help it?

Woke up with my eyes glued shut. They were streaming all through the night.

I’ve tried all the off the shelf ‘remedies’. Old wives tales, witch doctor solutions, honey. Nothing improves it.

I just grin n bear it for the few weeks of summer that causes the worst symptoms.

I have hayfever and also keep my own bees, to be honest I'm sure if there's any truth in it or not?? I take antihistamines and eat as much local free honey as I want , I t may be mildly better but it could also be the placebo effect??

I get severe reactions when the pollen count is high... well I did until this Saturday just gone.

Loratadine & Cetirizine based tablets do nothing for me...

Just got some of the new Fexofenadine based tablets (120mg) and within about 90mins after taking one my symptoms disappeared...

For me these are the best thing since "sliced bread"

"Treathay" 120mg by Galpharm £4.67 for a 30 tab pack.

The Allevia are just a very expensive "brand name" variant.

The doctors may prescribe a stronger dose, 180mg if required.

Anyone suffering from bad hay fever should look into kenacort injections you can get them for about 80-120 quid and they last a few months alternatively you can buy a few years supply from India for 20-30 quid (probably cheaper as I use 3x the dose) if anyone wants the link message me I swear this was an absolute life changer for me hay fever and allergies ruined my life year round I permanently carried round a tissue could hardly see at times with watery burning eyes. 2 days after first using krnecort I was completely symptom free went from sneezing hundreds of times a day to not even sneezing once in a week I can’t recommend it enough I know I sound like a shill for it haha but just want people to know they don’t have to suffer

Buy some honey from the nearest hive to your house and you’ll naturally build up your immunity quite quickly from just one teaspoon a day
