Looked at a haggis yesterday in Aldi as I hadn't had one in years. On checking the calories it went straight back on the shelf as it would have been a day's worth alone and I am watching my weight. |

Haggis is beautiful, we eat it loads, Burns night is not really celebrated nor is st.andrews day. it appears st paddys day is much more popular in Scotland for some strange reason.... |

It would have been my Dad's 75th birthday today.and being Scottish we always celebrate.
My Mum has a Burns Supper, this year is slightly different.
I was roped into doing the catering as she only got back from Spain late Sunday.
Trouble is her what was 12 guests she announced to me on Monday is now 25
So I spent all yesterday making scotch broth and mashing tatties.

Put on a large Burns supper last weekend (could not get the venue this week) had over 60 people there has soup haggis neeps and tatties plus Athol brose the Haggis was addressed with full ceremony and we ended with a bit of dancing I did keep my kilt on though as it was a vanilla event - lol |
