Separate; if you get jealous, well at least you haven’t witnessed it

Together; you can see what the other is up to, ensure they aren’t breaking boundaries etc

As newbies I'd strongly recommend same.

It'll remove any concerns for the safety of eachother, worries about other parties not respecting boundaries and also you can involve eachother should you wish.

Separate is fine if you're 100% confidant in your ability to control a situation.

Same was worse than seperate, she couldn't control her jealousy and had a go at her husband, so we grabbed our clothes and legged it

Horses for courses. Same room you get the titillation from watching them reacting to another's touch and the benefit of watching out for them. Separately it can be easier to relax and enjoy doing something different without being judged by the other partners, eager to criticise and hold up a mediocre seven!

We like both tbh, each has great pros, sometimes I like to have a husband all to myself for a bit, others I like to hear him receiving pleasure. I must say it can get distracting if the couple are loud though

If you hit 'reply +quote' it'll help knowing who you're replying to.

The comments about people being uncomfortable and the risk of someone 'losing their shit' are redundant and irrelevant. Imagine the scenario where someone is more concerned about what's going on next door and not concentrating on their own activities? If someone is worried about what their partner doing, or who their partner is with then being in separate rooms will multiply that considerably.

If a situation became awkward or uncomfortable then surely you'd want to be there for your partner to help escape the situation, rather than find out about it after the event?

Yes the makes complete sense... I think I am leaning towards same room swap for those exact reasons... especially being new

I think no matter what the pros or cons were it would depend on your dynamics as a couple.

For us sexually it does nothing for us being in separate rooms I like watching my husband and sometimes I will just take 5 mins and sit back and take it all in and my husband feels the same .

It took us a long time to work out our dynamics and in some ways we are probably still working it out ..Good luck and enjoy ..
