So earlier on I was in a woodland nearby to where I live and sat in a tree listening to a LotR audiobook, I had a couple of people walking dogs walk by and they seemed to walk faster once they’d noticed me. Just wondering how odd it is to find somebody sat in a tree minding their own business and whether others on here do similar things |

"They probably thought you were Tom Bombadil, enjoying a rare ethereal moment of mindfulness, away from the prying êyês of Goldberry."
I know how I should dress next time I’m in a tree |

If so....I'd have been fucking pegging it!

"I often walk through the woods naked - it's a really nice in the warm weather. I never encounter anyone else there so freaking out strangers isn't an issue."
As much as I’d love to do that there are too many people walking dogs so I wouldn’t want to scare anyone |

"It's sensible to speed up. You never know whether a person in a tree may urinate upon you.
I never trust squirrels for the same reason."
This is something i never thought about before. How and where squirrels pee..

"A grown man sat in a tree.... honestly I'd leg it away!
Grown man sat in a tree reading a book
Maybe it was the book not you then.

I know lord of the rings can be daunting but didn’t think it would make people run away |

"Luckily I'm always armed in the woods.gives you a nice edge if there's trouble."
This is why I always feel awkward when people walk by. I’m not there to cause trouble but apparently being sat in a tree reading makes people nervous |

It does seem slightly creepy, somewhat unusual, and if they hadn't realised you were there until they were close to you, I imagine it would give them a start. |

If I saw you sat in a tree reading a book it wouldn't make me nervous, but you said in your first post you were listening to an audiobook sat in a tree, if I saw you and it looked like you were just sitting there that would make me nervous and I would avoid you and the tree. |

If I had seen you it may be the only time I would risk boob and pelvic floor disaster and run for the hills having said that, I am scared of practically any lone man in the woods, up a tree or otherwise |

"It wouldn't worry us, seen far weirder shit going on in Witton woods than a chap up a tree minding his own business. Mind you, have you seen cocaine bear? Just saying ??"
I’ve only seen the trailer and I’ll admit it sounds hilarious. As for Witton woods I’m not surprised you’ve seen far worse there |
