Should there be an IQ test before being able to post on Internet forums?
On another social media platform, a person genuinely angry that only men were DNA tested in paternity cases.
Why don't they ever test to see who the mother is!!!!!!!!

I get why you’re asking this. And, of course, some people shouldn’t ever be allowed to voice opinions on any subject ever, let alone reproduce. But that is a tiny minority of the world population and the internet is a free resource for all to use whether you’re Chairperson of Mensa or you struggle to understand the lofty views of your thick as pigshit friend.
It is scary how ill-informed some people are, but they shouldn’t be banned from participating in general chit chat on the World Wide Web. Talking to me in person is another matter entirely!
A high IQ isn’t the only indicator that someone is smart. Some have real skills and knowledge that relate to particular subjects or experiences, but they are not necessarily ‘intelligent’.

It's funny.
I've asked people many a time why they voted a certain way (from GE's to local elections to Brexit to work related elections).
So many times they've given me a reason that's completely factually incorrect, bears no relation to the actual policies of a party or any manifesto statements/promises, or they've just said because 'so and so' told them to.
It bugs the shit out of me that some people don't actually research what they're voting for and instead just listen to utter bollocks spouted online or by some casual acquaintance.
Everybody is entitled to both as they choose, but if they've done so without understanding what they're selecting when ticking a box it's their own fault when things don't turn out as they expected.

Agree. Also for MPs - and not just based on their academic qualifications or which private school they went to thereby getting them into Oxford or Cambridge.
If Nanny has filled out the forms for them they should automatically be ruled out, and if they have opinions more better suited to before the agricultural revolution, they should probably be put in the ducking stool.  |

I went to college with one of the most academically gifted people I've ever met.
He had zero common sense, no practical skills (given the industry we worked in) and couldn't talk about anything outside of his field of expertise.
Pretty sure he wouldn't have asked why mothers weren't DNA tested in paternity cases though. |

I think the problem with an iq test is that it works on a specific scale from what I know. I think there should be a competency test that measures intelligence, empathy as well as other factors to determine how to proceed. |

To carry the meaning having an I.Q. so low that it doesn't register on the known scale should read. " Having an I.Q. so low that it does not register on the scale , doesn't mean 'Jack-shit' in real life.
