What music did you have at your wedding or if you are not married, what songs would you have?

We got married legally in December and then again in April in The Dominican Republic (on the beach).

Our playlists consisted on

Never Enough- Loren Allred (The Greatest Showman)

Lady Gaga - Always remember us this way

Christina Perri - A Thousand Years

Jessie J - Flashlight

David Gray - This Years Love

We got married in 2017 and our first dance song was The Weird Sisters - Magic Works as we were maaaaaaassive Harry Potter fans

Not so much now

I wanted to use Beyoncé - Halo but my auntie used that in her wedding to her ex husband who cheated on her with a teenager soooooooo didn’t think it was appropriate

We also found a slow dance version of Calvin Harris - Feel So Close which is our song

I wanted to walk down the aisle to Highway to Hell but went traditional with bagpipes

Ours was a rather eclectic choice. We had already been together for 8 years, and the wedding was a case of finally getting around to it.

We weren't going for pageantry or pomposity (our wedding cake was a penguin dressed as The Man With No Name, for chrissake!) so we picked out an unconventional set-list.

Entrance music: "The Wedding March from Flash Gordon", performed by Queen.

The Signing of the Books: "Across the Stars: Love Theme to Attack of the Clones", by John Williams.

Exit music: "The Birdie Song", by The Tweets.

We wanted everyone leave on a laugh and have it memorable, and it certainly worked! It was only recently somebody said: "I can't believe you walked down the aisle to The Birdie Song..."

Transsexual Transylvania

Our first dance was Siouxsie and the Banshees' "Last Beat of my Heart". I can't listen to it now without crying.

Our ambient music during dinner at the reception was all Dead Can Dance.

Our dance playlist was curated by ourselves, and we hired a well-known goth club dj to do the music, so we could be sure he had what we wanted (your average wedding dj simply wouldn't have). It included songs by, amongst others: The Sisters of Mercy, The Cure, Alien Sex Fiend, Love and Rockets, The Damned, Martha and the Muffins, The Clash, The Cult, Black Sabbath, Dead Can Dance, etc. etc.

What a party!
