Will West Ham win the Europa conference final tonight?..

My team West Ham take on Italian side Fiorentina in the Europa conference final tonight....
The last time we won anything was way back in 1980 so it's been a very long time!
Can we end our trophy drought and become European champions this evening?...

I hope they do win it, think it could be quite evenly matched depending on whether good hammers or bad hammers show up. Based on some games last season I'd say they could wipe the floor with Fiorentina, but then they can throw in a shocker |

Thanks mate...a lot will depend on David Moyes tactics tonight...if we just sit back and let them dominate they will win it but if wan control possession and the midfield we should be able to beat them plus this could be Declan Rice's last ever match for us.... |

How comes you didn’t just go out to Prague? I’d have gone without tickets just for the atmosphere… |

I'm an Evertonian, so used to the randomness of Moyes tactics and a team that can look like top 4 one week and Sunday league the next. But always had a bit of a soft spot for West Ham - Tony Cottee, obviously Di Canio - and I'd like to see them do well, plus, if Rice is going they deserve a trophy to soften the blow |

Because Chelsea and Spurs fans have so much to be proud of this year!
I get there's rivalry and banter, but so often it's "you're just a little bit shitter than us!" |

I was only 10 years old when we won the cup final against Arsenal in 1980 and will never forget Trevor Brooking's header!
42 long years have passed since then of mostly bad times but I will always support my local team West Ham. |

I would have loved to have gone even without tickets but it wasn't possible...I might go celebrate outside the London stadium tonight.. |

" . I remember the 1980 FA cup final win against Arsenal 1-0 win Trevor Brooking header as I Man Utd fan I wanted West Ham to win because you had Stuart Pearson play up front and you were the underdogs as you were a 2nd division team back then.As for tonight it’s a 50 - 50 game and sorry to say but I fancy Fiorentina to win |

Thanks mate...I was very pleased that Everton stayed up on the last day of the season and think that Sean Dyche will do a decent job and the toffees like us will both do much better next campaign. |

"Just make sure Declan rice doesn’t get injured to scupper the move to Arsenal next week! …. "
He does still have one year left on his contract so we could keep him another season but if he really wants to leave its probably for the best. |

"Yeah they should do pretty poor capacity stadium for a final tho"
It really is shocking that this final is being played at such a small stadium in Prague....
I'm sure our official 4,800 fans there will make enough noise.... |

Controlling possession to create chances has never been the forte of this Moyes team. Exploiting space on the counter is how we will win and this Fiorentina team provide the perfect opportunity for Moyes' favoured tactic. Having g said that, I am backing 1-1 and then a lottery as to who will win. |

Some stupid West ham fans were throwing missiles on the pitch and one struck a Fiorentina player and cut his head badly . |

I thought we were really poor in the first half and we are so lucky not to be behind at HT...Moyes really needs to let rip at our players in the dressing room
Fiorentina dominated the ball and midfield and we couldn't string 2 passes together and kept giving it away and there was no service at all for Antonio who tried his best but he can't do it on his own...

I am guessing the bus parade will be from the Olympic stadium to newham town hall in East Ham via Upton Park and barking road on Sunday… just so the folks know where to avoid….
Well done West Ham… sometimes you forget in London terms just how big a fan base the club has… east London and suburban Essex will be absolutely buzzing |

I hear that it will Start in Green Street by the old Upton Park and end at Newham town hall in Stratford on Sunday.
I don't think it will go anywhere near the London stadium as its being used for baseball this weekend.... |

Really hope all you lads get home ok, I was in Amsterdam on business while the Irons were in town for the semi; a lot of them asleep on the street as the hotels were so expensive and crazy locals looking for violence all night long apparently!
Great win |

It would appear my intuition was incorrect. Well done to the ball kickers of Western Hammersmith. |

Parade…. I got it wrong… twice
1) they are doing it tonight rather than Sunday… still think Sunday would have been the better option!
2) they are doing the parade route the other way round! Starting at Upton Park, ending at Stratford town hall….
Anyone who knows the area… barking road, Upton Park to corner of prince regents lane, then right up greengate street , past Plaistow tube station and then to Stratford town hall, so if you are coming into Stratford tube you’ll need to cut through the old shopping centre!
There’s local knowledge for ya!!
Anyone going.. don’t fall I’ll… getting you to newham general is going to be a nightmare!! |

"Didn't see the game, but well done the 'ammers.
Nice to see a British team do well, and it seemed to slip under the radar of a lot of media."
I thought the opposite but perhaps that is due to being in London and also all the algorithms sending me West Ham news. I felt BT really pushed the boat out even airing the match for free to everyone via Youtube and giving so much air time to the occasion. If you Google West Ham United you will even see fireworks on the screen. Pretty massive. |
