"I'm both as well as some sort of permanently exhausted pigeon "

Both, it would seem.
Mrs and I are total opposites.
Mrs can drop off and sleep all night, whether that's an early or late night.
I get very little sleep, regardless of the time I drop off. |

A shift worker, so I don’t get much choice.
In my younger days I was definitely more of a night owl, but nowadays I’m more of an early bird, but mostly down to my shifts affecting my sleep patterns. |

I'm probably more myself during the evening but I still like to get myself comfy and ready for sleep before 11pm. I'm not a morning person at all, takes me ages to wake up and just feel miserable having to get out of bed. I've been getting up at 6am for almost 5 years and it doesn't get any easier. I'd love to be a morning person. |
